Down the farm

Over at Saturday Challenge they have their first challenge which is an interesting sketch. As I have just bought 4 big round scene stamps I thought this was the perfect opportunity. Also its my Dads birthday and he is a farmer.

So here is my interpreation. The only difference is the sentiment is not in a circle - sort of left no room for that!!!

I love the stamp I got it at my local variety store for $2 and it is quite large. The stamp originally has a patterned circle around it but I decided to cut the main image out and use foam tape to lift it. The circle underneath is the original size - I think its cute how the chicks are out of the circle. Adds an extra fun aspect.

I wasnt too sure how to jazz it up - if it was for a girl then that wouldve been easy, but for a male not so much!! So I remembered a load of mini punches I bought and found the cute little leaf. Tied the corner leaves in with the ones down the curve - which I guess you could say represents a dirt track and it all came together nicely.

Edged it off with ribbon, and green dots for the corners - which I will change as the ink is spreading (didnt on the test piece though - argh!!) I must have some green sequins or something here to fix it up.
