How would it look if I used all my paper ribbon in like a rainbow background effect?? Well here is a version of it - I think I will stick to the idea of narrower lines if I do this again.
Double sided tape, slippery ribbon and fumble fingers make for a fun (??) card making session but I won in the end. Looking through my stash of stuff and I found a cupcake I designed and stitched when I bunged up my foot... It was matted already so I thought it was a fair place to start. Decided on different pink matting for the stamped balloons and sentiment (again may change that idea if I did it again).
As you may have learnt by now I am never completely satisfied with anything I do and I was itching to change something and then it come to me - the cupcake was originally a yellow patty pan and blue icing. I covered the icing in pink seed beads - but it just looked too heavy so I remembered some glitter I had - put that on and that problem was rectified. But the yellow patty pan was over powered and you honestly couldnt see it - so I got out my gold texta and went to work. I found some gold spots that I put on there - not perfectly because when cakes cook they tend to distort ever so slightly and this made it look real(ish).
Overall was fun - I am getting daring these days ;)
