JAN 2023 MINI CHALLENGE AT INCY WINCY DESIGNS CHALLENGE

Hello friends :) 

Happy New Year!! 

The plan is to be more present on the blog this year - try and use that mojo a bit more. 
Ive missed my crafting the last few years - but life happens as you know!! 

The first challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs this year is a MINI CHALLENGE. 
I kind of forgot to give the Design Team some time off so the last challenge went a bit longer just so everyone wasnt rushing about.  So you have 10 DAYS!!!  your designs have to be posted on your blog or social media between 15th and 25th January 2023.  

Our generous sponsor this time is new to Incy - TLC Designs and their artist owner Tammy kindly gave us 4 sets to play with. As team is quite short at the moment (read right to the bottom of the post) I decided to use 2 images and do 2 projects. Each of the kits come with a sketch you can try to do - I tried my best.  I cant believe how small I made the circle in the first project lol. Ah well, worse things to worry about hey!! 

                                                          This one is full of cute images and lovely papers!!

 (yellow paper was mine not in the kit) and it looks better in real life.  I absolutely adore snails and had a picture in my head. Book cover I did didnt quite go with the picture in my head, but the blues and Purples are gorgeous <3

I have to admit I absolutely LOVE how this came out. I am my worst critic and I am never really satisfied with anything I do, and I photograph it and it looks worse!! But this one is so pretty. All the pinks make it so soft and comforting. Arent the mice adorable <3

Playing with punches

Hello again, 

I know I dont post here often, but, I am trying to make more time for myself to create. To be honest I don't know if blogs are really read anymore?  So if you see this pop us a hello :) 

The challenge for May over at Incy Wincy Designs Challenge is 



THEME  CHOSEN BY HELEN: USE A DIE CUT OR A PUNCH



 My contribution for this challenge is  using the image THE MOST ADORABLE PANDA by The Paper Shelter.  I made the sun by using scallop shapes and arranging them in a fun sun pattern - than I free hand cut a "circle" for a bit of a difference. 

The blue postage stamp punches are to sort of represent a wall Panda is sitting on. 

I also used a decorative corner punch for a bit a change from rectangle papers.

Sporty times with Incy

Hello everyone, can't believe it is February already !!  Time is flying so fast. 

This fortnight over at Incy Wincy Designs Challenge we have the themes of Sports and/or Mainly Red. I combined them both, cos I think red is an awesome colour for a golfer.

COLOUR CHALLENGE AT INCY

Hello everyone :)  

Our challenge this fortnight at Incy Wincy Designs Challenge is to use 2 or more colours from the palette below. 


I did get permission to change the darker red to a bright red.
I wanted the Dimensional magic to make that red POP!!

MAGICAL AND FAIRYTALES AT INCY WINCY

Hello everyone :) 

The new challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs Challenge is MAGICAL or  FAIRYTALES. 

We have 2 wonderful sponsors - one is a long time sponsor and 1 is brand new to us :)  

First project is a book which I made. The cover image is from our new sponsor  RACHELLE ANNE MILLER - and the image I used is  LITTLE FAIRY. Rachelle has some amazing designs, and if you pop over to the blog and join in you can win a set of her images (details below)   

This was such a beautiful image to colour :)  I used my brush pens as a watercolour paint, I used to do this as a child and forgot the fun of watching to colors change as it dries. 

 

For the second project I altered a notebook which I am sending to a friend. I used POLKADOODLES -BELIEVE IN RAINBOWS. A lot was coloured in glitter gel pens, and I actually beaded and stuck seed beads around the umbrella for a bit of a change. With the Unicorn horn I changed it up a little and used a gold pipe cleaner.  I made my own sentiment "Even if you cant see it, beauty is there"
