oh at last :)

Hello everyone :)

I was determined to make a card tonight, and after a slow start I managed to make 2 - but I will share the other with you another time.

Whilst reading through my Google Reader I saw the post for Pollycraft Monday Challenge what I particularly like about this site is I can still contribute with the challenges - because they provide a variety of free downloads which you can use if you dont have any of their gorgeous downloads or stamps. As I am unable to order anything overseas I jumped at this challenge. So firstly thankyou the owners of Pollycraft for letting us who arent not fortunate enough to own any of your things (yet) to join in the fun :)

The theme for this challenge is Stripes. I had a look through the free downloads and it has a Birthday Boy decoupage which was perfect as a little friend of mine has a birthday next week. I only added the face again and not with foam tape. I shall use the other picture that way :) (2 sets of the same picture on 1 sheet)

I have some paint markers so I did recolour the pants, shoes, stars and balloon. Gave it a bit more vibrancy (I think my printer may be set wrong) I went over the balloon in glitter pen for some added bling. The stripes in the back I just drew freehand using 3 of my Whisper pens. I liked how it comes out very colourful but not overpowering.

Then I justed stamped Happy Birthday and a row of stary like shapes along the top and bottom edges as a border.

This was very fun to make and as I knew it would - making a card has actually eased me - nothing better than getting out your craft stuff and getting lost in a world of colour and glue !!

Thankyou all for stopping by and I hope you are having a fabulous day!!
