Wahoo - another one!!

Hello once again :)

Here is the second card I made yesterday :)

It is my first shaker card and I am so pleased with myself :)

I downloaded this gorgeous image but like a dill (oops) I didnt note where I got it from. It is called Heart Bear I believe. If you happen to recognise it, kindly let me know ok :)

Smaller pic to show the shine of the gold paint pen.

I cut out the belly heart and used that as my shaker "cave". Had to double up on my double sided tape though as the gold beads were a little big and didnt move around freely.

I used gold Uniball paint pens to colour in the other hearts and bow - so it matched the gold shakers in his belly. Firstly this card was meant to be a birthday card for an 8 year old but as it progressed I thought it was a little young for that. It would be perfect for a baby card, or a youngsters birthday.

Was so stuck on what to use as embellishments - so just did the basics - I added a darker blue square of paper as a mat for the main image and lined it in gold pen to stay with the gold highlight. Decided to make my own strip embellishment made a grid on some paper and at every second cross section I used a hole punch to cut a hole - did the same on the other side but punched on the opposite holes - and then cut across the lines which dissected the holes in two. Not sure if I explained it correctly but if anyone is interested I guess I could try another "tutorial" if you are anything like me - pictures mean much more than words half the time!!

When I added the strip I drew dots in each recess to do with the gold dots in the shaker part of his belly. Then just wrote Hugs as a sentiment so it could be used in a variety of different uses.

HappyBirthday to my Baby Brother who is 33 today (8th) I am off to make his card now - I so work better in the wee early hours.

Until next time take care of yourselves and I hope to see you soon!
