Srah ;)

Hello!!

The title isnt a typo - Its the nickname of my lovely friend Sarah :) When I type too quick I often miss the A and I did it on a committee report! So what has this got to do with my post for today - well the image I used in todays card reminds me SO much of Sarah she is tall and skinny and has a light blue handbag. Only difference is her hair isnt long enough for plaits (umm hair extentions perhaps !! ;) )

I promise this card is straight at the top - photographed it really weird and didnt notice OOPS!!

I was just mixing and matching and going with the flow - no rhyme or reason! I dont know if you can see but both of the papers used in the rectangles are the same design - just different colours. I put them together with a gap between the larger pieces. The original plan was to have the image in the middle of that so that the colours surround her, but when I tried it looked as though there was just one huge piece of each and not 2 seperate ones. So decided to add another rectangle element by putting the image downward as opposed to the sideways backgrounds. Added foam tape to add height, but firstly drew a black border around to define it.

Added 2 flowers and added gold beads in the middle. Gave it a really summery look with that bit of bling. Then found my Stephanie Barnard "Hip To Be Square" stamps and the square fitted perfectly (couldnt have done it better if I tried!! Gotta love that!) and did a little boo boo with the stamp so stamped it on white card and cut inside the border and added more foam tape to give that a lift too! Looked deliberately done so that was another bonus :)
