Over at Christines blog she is having an AWESOME blog candy give away and has started an indepth and widespread discussion about Word Verication (where you have to write the letters you see to submit a comment on a blog!) So I have also changed some of my settings and now do approval before any comment is posted.
I wonder if I have scared anyone off of commenting as I had WV and just assumed it was normal practice. I do it on other blogs - and I admit I do have trouble with some of the italic ones - either way no harm done - but it does have some interesting points.

I went over and commented - although I told her not to enter me in the drawing because I wouldn't want to win and not give someone else a chance at the blog candy who would know what to do with it!! :)
For me - word verification is necessary on one of my blogs, and not the other. I only use it because one of my blogs gets spam comments - and did right from the start. The other one doesn't seem to - so I don't is it. Simple as that.
