Hello everyone!!
Just a note to let you know the Presentation day/night is over - mind you we went from having the hall all Saturday to being told THURSDAY afternoon we didnt!! They were having the first of a monthly art and craft fair at the hall that day. My brother and SIL managed to negotiate that we were to get a stall for me and a sausage sizzle but we had to share OUR profits with the canteen. (when we got there I didnt have a stall though!! - so I got an extra table or 3 to put with the SS - first stall that majority of people would see)
Well considering only a few of us on the committee actually do anything it was utter chaos for 3 days as we also had a presentation evening to prepare for the night.
For the whole week I didnt get to bed before 4am and I didnt have time to do any extra crafts so I had a heap of leftover donations from a charity benefit I had organised last year. We took everything and forgot MY cards - only thing of mine we did remember was the stitched Leaning Tower Of Pisa I blogged some time ago.
Turns out the weather decided to be not so nice and it rained and was windy (remember: we are the driest state in the driest continent - we are in our summer now and in the mid of a drought)
Anyway hardly any people were about and I think I sold 4 cards (to my Aunty) if it wasnt for the sausages the day would have been a fizzle!! The only thing that seemed to sell in the whole place was gingerbread sculptures (she was sold out in 2 hours)
Presentation night was ok but never got to stop at all (I am exhausted today) so at the moment I dont particular want to do anything at all.......
Id like to thank my friends who have been encouraging me through this - they know who they are.
I have been given a permanent stall at the fair (Will do the sausage sizzle with it - earn our club some money!) so I really have to overcome my self doubt and pure fear of rejection and get organised. For those who have experienced this before can you give me any tips????
Thankyou for being patient with me and I hope to take the next 6 weeks and do NOTHING much (except crafting for enjoyment).
Have a fabulous day!
