Happy Birthday (Secret Crafter challenge 6)

Hello everyone :)

Well I got my brother's birthday card done.... He will be receiving it a day late though.... used my insomnia time to get this done.

I used the sketch from Secret Crafter Challenge 6 as the idea of the broken up background seemed perfect for what I was trying to achieve.

I used a wallpaper sample to get the gorgeous clouds (I tried in vain the night before to do them myself - with no success). Just matted them on more vivid blue cardboard. That was put on a normal piece of white copy paper and that was put on top of my blue cardboard which I made the card base from. The blue was a little dull so I used glitter pen to do the side borders and the blue paint marker to do the top and bottom borders.

The plane was from a cd I was given - the 3d is really effective. My brother just loves planes so it was the perfect image for him.

Now the sentiment - I am not 100% happy with it - I had planned to make the white parts look like puffy clouds. Hence the top layers being foam taped higher. Yes, and no.... maybe because Happy Birthday is handwritten and not printed or stamped??? Who knows!

Added two different shades of blue dots on the white paper background so it wasnt so bare - added a bit of interest.

I am quite pleased how this turned out :)

Oh before I go, I have just gone over 500 comments on my work so thankyou :) I think I have missed a few and then there is the email comments I have received. So I dont have an exact number for you.
