Anyway enough psycho babble, I had no idea how to proceed with this card after I had drawn the kitties and their basket (which I did shorten so kitties were snug).
I played around with a piece of card and ripped it and used it as a template to create a border of sponged ink. Then I added the cats and coloured around them which I stuffed up - so kitties lost another life - I peeled them off and used the the template to put the cats on. Then I used some double sided foam tape to add height which did work but I wasnt happy with the same colours. The brown just didnt pop so to speak.
At this stage was getting a little frustrated with myself and looked around and saw an ink pad Renee sent and the maroon went with the brown - so I stamped the sentiment with it and sponged over the brown on the lower layer. Natural light does look a bit different to the photo but you get the general idea.
Finished off with some clear glitter glue on the medallions of the kitties collars, and on the outer corners.
All comments are greatly appreciated, as I just kind of winged this as I went along.
Thinking of all those affected by the hurricanes and storms throughout the world at the moment - I hope you are all safe and well.
See you tomorrow!!!

Hi Hev - awwwww, too cute! What an artist you've become - wish I could draw like that. Thanks for visiting my blog and I see you have become a 'follower' - I have tried to do so on yours as well and hope I did it right.

Fabulous card, great image. Thanks for joining in the CCT challenge
When you explain what you've done from start to finish I'm always amazed at all the steps it takes to make a card like that. So cute! Of course I'm a bit biased about cats. :)

i love the card and i especially love your description of "the process"...which is REMARKABLY like mine (but w/o the drawing in my case) and makes me feel like i am not the only one to whom "winging it" is not natural...but gets easier!!! :)
