Strawberry shortcake take 2

I loved the Strawberry Shortcake card I made awhile ago so I did another one but did something a little different.
This is the first time I have ever used brads on a card - I found a small pack for $2 and decided to try them. The flower sequins underneath are clear with a pink tinge but they sort of got lost with everything else so I used my Faber Castell Colour Burst textas on the back - the pink dried very vibrant and this matched the other pink in the card. I outlined the hexagon in the same pen.
I did stamping again - only took 2 tries this time ;) I thought perhaps it was the paper but read somewhere that you dont have to press so hard with acrylic stamps to get an impression, maybe I have been too heavy handed???
I am hoping to spend some time learning to do some stamped cards - I have loads of stamps from over the years and they are such a shame to sit idle.
For those who stamp - is it ok to colour with Sharpies? I have noticed we can get a broad range of colours now. I did buy a packet of fine tip pens and they are lovely too - experimenting cheaply incase I dont get the hang of things.
Thankyou again for stopping by and paying me a visit. I appreciate everyones comments and advice :) Hoping to get my AIG and have more things to post soon.
Have a wonderful day :)

WoWzA, beautiful!!!

You can use Sharpie's on anything! I hear they're especially good on grungeboard.

My philosophy is, if ya got 'em, use 'em!

AWwwwwww! What a pretty way to take a trip down memory lane. I just can smell the strawberry shortcake doll I had as a kid while looking at this. It's so sweet & the brads add an adorable touch. (You'll be hooked on those now! I know I am) :0) I'm not sure if Sharpies are acid free (I asked on the website, but never got a response. But I've used them and anything goes with art! :0)

Next time you check up on me/my blog :D, there's an award waiting for you. Not a great one but an award nevertheless ;)

Very cute image Hev, I like Strawberry Shortcake also!
Personally I have never used Sharpies, but like they say, if you got them use them! Then decide for yourself which color method you prefer:)
